On any setting page, click Save a private copy. This copies the setting into your personal My Settings area, where you can:
- Edit any value to match what actually worked on your machine,
- Keep your dialed-in version separate from the public one,
- Export your version anytime.
Your private copies are only visible to you. This is the right way to "tweak and keep" a setting.
