Are streets shown for tracks outside the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand?
Water and coastline show everywhere. Streets and buildings come from our own map, which covers the US, Canada, the UK & Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, so a track in any other country shows on plain wood with its water. Minimal looks the same anywhere. -
Can I mark the finish or a special spot?
Yes. Under Details, Pin adds a heart, star or dot to the track, raised with it. Slide it anywhere from the start to the finish, such as the mile where you proposed or hit the wall. Routes also get a chequered finish line. -
Can I turn pieces and marks off, or change the sizes?
Yes, all of them. Under Details, every layer can be switched off: water, backplate, run-off band, name plate or banner, and frame. So can every mark: the name, the line under it, start and finish lines, corner numbers, mile markers and their numbers, streets, buildings and compass. Fine tuning se... -
How do I make a racetrack or race route map?
In the Layers panel, set Product to "Racetrack or race route". The track builder opens. Track: tap a Formula 1 circuit, search any racetrack by name, or switch to Race route and drop in a GPS file. Look: choose City & water, Circuit or Minimal, the colours, and how wide the track is. Details... -
The corner numbers do not match the official turn numbers. Can I fix them?
Yes. The builder places the numbers where the track turns. In the Studio each number becomes ordinary text, so you can drag it, retype it to the official number, or delete it. Or switch Corner numbers off and add your own. -
What are the bridges on an outline track?
An outline track is two rails. Bridges are short ties between them every few centimetres, so the outline cuts as one piece and glues down without lining up two loose loops. Switch them off under Details if you want the rails separate. -
City & water: water at the bottom, wood land with the streets engraved, the track raised on top and a name plate along the bottom. Circuit: a black backplate under the map, a raised run-off band, the track in outline on top, and a banner with the name. Minimal: one board and the track, wide a...

Which GPS files work for a race route?
GPX, TCX, KML and GeoJSON. Strava, Garmin Connect and most race sites export one of these. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. The distance, finish time and date are filled in from the file, and you can type over them. -
Every Formula 1 circuit is one tap away. Search finds any track drawn on OpenStreetMap, from speedways to local kart tracks. A venue often has several pieces (the circuit, a pit lane, an inner oval). Tick the pieces you want. Pit lanes start unticked.

Why does it say my route runs over water?
If a good share of the line crosses water, the GPS file is usually off (a drifting watch, or a route drawn by hand). Check it in Strava or Garmin before you cut. A swim leg or a ferry is fine.
