My text looks wrong or throws an error when I open the file in my laser software — why?

Laser programs like LightBurn and xTool Creative Space can only render a font that's installed on your computer. If your design uses a TumblerForge font you don't personally have installed, the text can shift to a substitute font or trigger an import error. The fix: before exporting, select your text and click Text → outlines (or Weld it into your design) to bake the letters into vector paths. Outlined text engraves exactly as designed on any machine, no fonts required. You don't need to do this for our template labels — the layered SVG already exports those as outlines automatically.
