NestSmith — Exporting

• Does engraving stay inside its part?

  Yes. Artwork is attached to the piece that encloses it and moves with it through nesting, rotation and export. It cannot drift away from its cut line.

• How do multi-sheet jobs export?

  One file per sheet, named -sheet-1, -sheet-2 and so on. Each sheet is a separate piece of material that goes on the machine on its own, so it gets its own file.

• What can I export?

  SVG, DXF, native LightBurn (.lbrn2) and native xTool (.xs). Engraving is written before cuts, and the sheet outline is never included — you get the parts, not a box around them.
