The puzzle frames, the outer frame and the frame style are separate switches. Nested gives each piece its own frame: the knob of one frame sits in the socket of the next, with the fit clearance you choose, and the line between them is cut once. One frame round them welds the frames into one piece with a single bar along every join. With no puzzle frames the maps share the land sheet with the joining line scored, and the roads are engraved (raised roads need a frame to weld to). With the outer frame off you can keep a plain board for the words or cut every sheet to the pieces' own shape, so their frames are the edge.
