MappSmith — Island & beach town builder

  • Are streets shown for islands outside the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand?

Yes. Our own map covers the US, Canada, the UK & Ireland, Australia and New Zealand; in other countries the builder fetches the streets from OpenStreetMap along with the beaches; on a big island only the main roads, so the board does not turn grey. Buildings show where our map data has them, ...
  • Can I move the town names?

Yes. The builder places them, and in the Studio each one becomes ordinary text: drag it, retype it or delete it.

Depth layers: the water in three to six painted steps from turquoise shallows to deep navy, a sand band round the shore, the island in wood on top with its streets burned in, a raised pin, and the frame and plaque as one piece on top. Island raised: a blue backer with the island as one raised pie...
