Depth layers: the water in three to six painted steps from turquoise shallows to deep navy, a sand band round the shore, the island in wood on top with its streets burned in, a raised pin, and the frame and plaque as one piece on top. Island raised: a blue backer with the island as one raised piece of wood. Engraved: one board with the coast, the depth lines, the streets and the plaque burned in, the sand stippled. Printed: one board printed in nautical-chart colours, a lagoon palette or a vintage chart, then cut to shape.
